I have been reading A Beautiful Mess for years. Years and years and years. When I lived in Missouri my friend Caitlin and I even drove to Springfield to visit Red Velvet. When I found out ABM was releasing a new book I was pumped. I had never read their first book, A Beautiful Mess Photo Idea Book, although I read plenty of reviews because I was intrigued by it's content. One thing I saw over and over again was that a majority of the content from their photo book came from their blog. I read so many reviews that summed up their experience saying, "everything in this book is on their blog, why bother buying the book." I can't say for sure that their first book was like that because I never read it, but it did have me wondering about Happy Handmade Home.
I am pleased to inform you that this book has content that I have never seen on their blog, ever. Do I recognize things in their book, of course, but the projects they are sharing, all the decor ideas, the party ideas, the food, all of it, I haven't seen posted on the blog. I was a happy camper. Friends, I cannot recommend this book enough. A Beautiful Mess Happy Handmade Home is one of my favorite home decoratingbooks.
Happy Handmade Home is full of inspiring content and ideas. The table of contents is my favorite because it's a photo table of contents and I really love how visually driven the book is. Their are sections of the book devoted to every room in the home including out door spaces, and they have sections for celebrations! There are decorating tips and tricks, DIYs, furniture inspiration, party decor, food, recipes, drinks, and more.
Something that I think is really fun and that I love is that all through out the book they have a "9 Ways" series in which they take one item and DIY it 9 different ways. They do flower vases 9 ways, coffee mugs 9 ways, it's so fun!
With the holidays approaching I think this is a great gift idea. It really is an everything book, from home decorating tips and tricks, to celebrations with food and drink. Pick this book up, friends. You won't regret it! xo. Samantha
