AT THE TABLE

At the table we find a community
At the table we find community. A place of common ground. A place of shared stories, unique individuals and an array of different perspectives. At the table we find community. With every experience we have, we learn something new and with everything learned we grow. At the table we find growth. Spending time at the table is so fundamental to our need for community.

I have come to find that community can be found in the most obscure places, at least obscure at one point. What makes a community thrive and grow are the different and unique stories that each person bring to the table. Jesus uses each of us in beautiful ways and uses are stories to speak specifically to those who need to hear them.

Who do you find at your table? The greater variety of individuals at my table the more grateful I am because the more I am able to learn from them. I've come to cherish those that challenge my thinking and give me at different perspective to see from. They speak encouragement, they share stories, they offer advice, and they share in dreams.

"Community is so very important to me, and honestly, I believe we were created for it. We need people in our lives who are going to encourage us, hold us accountable, and walk beside us on this journey. One thing I love about community is that there is no magic number of friends you have to reach where you will finally have "good community". Community comes in all sizes. The important thing to remember is that community takes time, it is intentional, and it reaches out to others instead of keeping to itself." - Meg of Rivers & Roads

"I seek community in everything because I know that we were not created to live life alone. I have co workers, my blog community, and friends who are spread all around the world that I keep in touch with but they all take commitment! Some of the ways I am committed to those groups are by writing notes, making sure to connect with them (not just ignore them), and be available." - Elizabeth of Oak + Oats

The individuals that Tyler and I have found at our table have touched our lives in more ways then we can count. They have walked with us through struggles, prayed for us, challenged us, and loved us. Who have you found at your table? xo. Samantha
