QUICK & EASY BANANA BARS
You know what happens when you have extra bananas? You make banana bread, or in my case banana bars. I decided to call them banana bars because I didn't have a bread pan so I used a cake pan, so now they are bar sharped.
Friends, this was my first time making banana bars and they turned out so good, I was so excited. I wasn't quite sure where to start in the banana bar making adventure, so I did want any normal girl would do, I checked pinterest. I stumbled onto a handful of different recipes and finally settled on this one. I headed to the kitchen and started to bake.
QUICK & EASY BANANA BARS {adabted from here}
INGREDIENTS :
- 3 overripe bananas
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
METHOD : Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl, mash the bananas with the melted butter. Mix in brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Last, add the flour, baking soda and salt. Stir until combined. Spray a 13x9-inch cake pan with nonstick spray and pour in batter. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool in the pan on a wire rack. Enjoy!
I had so much fun making banana bars and it was so exciting to share it with Tyler because he was super pumped. I officially love eating peanut butter on banana bars, but really, I could eat peanut butter on everything. ha! :) xo. Samantha
